Marble Falls Raw Water Pump Station and Transmission Main
- Client: City of Marble Falls
- Location: Marble Falls, Texas
- Services: Preliminary Engineering, Hydraulic Analysis, Utilities
- Project Details:
Miller Gray provided preliminary engineering, hydraulic analysis, transmission main design, and utility infrastructure services for the City of Marble Falls Raw Water Pump Station project in Marble Falls, Texas. The project was initiated after the City’s existing raw water intake and pump station along Lake Marble Falls sustained major damage during the October 2018 flood event.
The permanent infrastructure solution included relocating the raw water intake, pump station, and transmission main outside of the 100-year floodplain to improve long-term resiliency and operational reliability for the City’s drinking water system.
Project services included hydraulic modeling, pipe sizing, environmental permitting coordination, geotechnical investigations, structural design of wet well and retaining wall systems, FEMA floodproofing considerations, and preparation of technical specifications and contract documents.
Miller Gray coordinated with the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) and Texas Historical Commission (THC) to support environmental compliance and permitting requirements for this critical municipal water infrastructure project.
