Project Engineer PE - Water & Wastewater/Utilities

Miller Gray is seeking a growth-oriented PE with strong technical, organizational, and communication skills. As a Project Engineer, you will work closely with Principals and coordinate with clients, sub-consultants, and other Miller Gray staff.

Project Types include:

  • Roadways

  • Water/Wastewater utility design

  • Pump Stations

  • Lift Stations

Responsibilities:

  • Performing due diligence and research tasks
  • Assisting in preparation and monitoring of project schedules
  • Assisting with design and drawing development in AutoCAD Civil3D
  • Assisting with the preparation of engineering plans and reports
  • Coordinating with regulatory review agencies
  • Assisting with monitoring of work for compliance to applicable codes and design criteria
  • Providing technical assistance during the construction phases
  • Ensuring internal approval of assigned tasks when completed
  • Effectively communicating with other team members

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited college or university with a B.S. in Civil Engineering

  • 8+ years post-graduate industry experience in public works with an emphasis on utility design

  • Texas PE License or ability to obtain within 6 months from start date

  • High level proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D

  • Leadership skills including communication and collaboration, with the ability to coordinate and complete tasks in a team-oriented manner
