Miller Gray Named One of Austin’s Best Places to Work

Miller Gray has been named one of the 2026 Best Places to Work by the Austin Business Journal, and the numbers behind it say a lot.

Based entirely on confidential employee feedback, Miller Gray earned an overall score of 93.71, with more than 90% of employees considered highly engaged. In a program where top-performing companies average around 97% engagement, that puts Miller Gray firmly in the mix with the best workplaces in Central Texas.

“At Miller Gray, we’ve always believed great work starts with great people and that you can’t separate the two,” said Rachel Gray, President of the firm. “We’ve built a place where people are supported, challenged, and trusted to do meaningful work. This recognition reflects the culture we’ve built: collaborative, supportive, and focused on doing meaningful work for the communities around us.”

When asked to describe the workplace in one word, employees landed on “supportive” and backed it up with feedback about trust, flexibility, and a culture where people genuinely look out for each other.

“Miller Gray is a great place to work because there is a strong culture of trust, mentorship, and collaboration,” said Elise Budd, project engineer. “I have opportunities to grow here, and I appreciate that leadership is approachable, fair, and heavily invested in employee development. Leadership puts people first and goes above and beyond to make sure our team is supported and comfortable asking for help.”

The Best Places to Work awards are highly competitive, with honorees selected from hundreds of nominations across multiple company size categories. Final rankings will be announced later this year at an event hosted by the Austin Business Journal.
