Travis Wilson, PE, CFM, and Dale Gray, PE, were co-presenters at the 2019 Texas Floodplain Management Association Fall Technical Conference in San Antonio, Texas.

There are thousands of dams in Texas owned by municipalities, water districts, private entities, etc. Many of these structures were built prior to current State dam safety criteria.

Citing a current project as a case study, the retrofit of the Sunset Valley Regional Detention Pond was presented by Travis and Dale showcasing various engineering designs to satisfy TCEQ safety requirements.
