Scope: Stormwater Management, Hydrologic and Hydraulic Analysis and Flood Mitigation
Project Details:
Located in an environmentally sensitive area near Bee Cave, the Great Divide Drive Improvements Project addressed chronic flooding and infrastructure vulnerability where Little Barton Creek intersects a key access road for 200 homes. Miller Gray served as the prime engineering firm, leading H&H modeling for the 8.2-sq.-mi. watershed and evaluating future flood risks using NOAA Atlas 14 data. Services included topographic surveying, bridge and culvert alternative analysis, utility relocation design, public engagement, and creek restoration. The project culminated in a 540-foot bridge design and FEMA-compliant modeling, significantly improving safety, serviceability, and long-term resilience for the surrounding community.
